Reclaimed Wood

In the past 5-10 years the city has implemented policies that force demolition contractors to "de-construct" old homes that are demoed to make way for something new. This has created an industry of reclaimed wood (Doug Fir) resellers in and around Portland and has overall increased the amount of this precious resource available. The increased demand for it has unfortunately increased it's cost from the early days but the result of building with it is always a warm and mellow project that truly improves with age.
